Our associates worked on this lovely shoot with Yelena Johnson of The Stylish Soiree back in June, and today it was featured on Style Me Pretty!

The concept behind this shoot was a summer garden party elopement celebration for the newlyweds. We like to think that even if the bride and groom aren’t planning a huge affair for 150 guests, they can still celebrate their union (and, of course, their personal style) with a beautiful dinner set for two, and plenty of lovely photos to commemorate the day.

The tablescape was created with a mix of new and vintage decor items in a color scheme that included taupe, cream, and shades of purple. A small, white writer’s desk serves as the makeshift dinner table with two wooden bistro chairs pulled up for casual outdoor seating. A lavender table runner bathes the white desk in a wash of color, while lace placemats give the tablescape a dainty, delicate feel. The floral arrangements were placed in a mix of vintage amber glassware and brown apothecary bottles. Purple anemones, lavender, cabbage, sweet pea and thistle were used to create the “just picked” look that suited our relaxed garden party inspiration.

The bride and groom’s place settings were adorned with their names crafted out of cooper artist wire and newsprint paper flowers, as well as two sprigs of lavender held together with a blue, hand-dyed silk ribbon. We created a festive signature drink that matched the color scheme of the elopement dinner; a blackberry sorbet float made with two scoops of sorbet topped off with sparkling pink lemonade – light, summery and refreshing, perfect for summer.

Love Life Studios is so happy and proud to announce that our most recent styled shoot is being featured on the amazing Elizabeth Anne Designs today! Thanks so much to Ami for the feature!

A couple weeks ago, the Love Life team met up with one of our favorite Bay area event designers Yelena Johnson of The Stylish Soiree to work on a styled shoot that celebrates the 4th of July in the cutest way. Yelena’s concept of creating a rustic, Independence Day-themed engagement party shoot was executed beautifully with lovely, simple florals handpicked at the San Francisco flower mart, classic Coca Cola in glass bottles (of course!) and many other patriotic touches. The furniture was kindly supplied by Archive Vintage Rentals and hair and makeup were done by the fabulous Jane of The Glamourist.

This shoot totally gets us in the mood to relax outdoors with some tasty treats this weekend while we await the always-fun fireworks shows!

A special thanks to Alicia and Jeremy, our lovely models for volunteering to help us out on this shoot. You guys were so fantastic!

We thought these little “With Love” straw flags added just the perfect touch of love to the patriotic theme.
